New Year New Challenges

First and foremost HAPPY FREAKING NEW YEAR!

As most will agree we all make a list of resolutions we expect to try and challenge ourselves to stick to. Whether that be to cut back on certain foods, lose weight, cut toxic people from our lives, try and be a stronger version of ourselves, etc.

The list can go on and on, a new year means we made it another year around the Earth, the stars, and the galaxy. The new year brings more challenges for us to face. There are more obstacles, more hurt, more loss, and so much more we cannot see to predict.

We have to stop living in the tomorrow, or next week, or even six months from now. Focus on one--just today, what today brings you out of this new year. It helps to reduce anxiety about things we can not control ourselves. It helps ease your worries when you are focused on just today. What you can do, is change TODAY.

"Live in today, not tomorrow."

I'm no saint, I worry about a lot of things and overthink myself. I tend to find myself thinking of what is going to happen tomorrow or next week. It happens to all of us, and it's normal human behavior to experience. Our brains are wired to over-process things, make us overthink, and lead us into crippling anxiety. But we can change that, we can change the way we think, view things, and continue with our lives through this new year. Changing the way we think mentally can affect us in ways beyond words that can explain them. But we have the power to change that about ourselves, it all starts within ourselves.

I want to challenge all my readers to try and change the way you think and process things. Try to focus on just today, not tomorrow because it is not here yet, and not yesterday because it's already in the past. Live in the now, not the past, and not the future. Live in the moment of what you can control, what you can change. Again I may sound repetitive, but it's all for a good reason.

"Live in the now, not tomorrow because it's not here, and not yesterday because it's in the past. Focus on the now, and watch it change so much."

So again, rain in one the NEW FREAKING YEAR! Push yourself past your boundaries, apply yourself, and dedicate yourself to the things you want out of your own life! Always remember you are never alone, millions, BILLIONS of people go through similar things we all do!

If you guys haven't yet, check out my other latest blog post. My gift to all my readers and others, I gathered a few of my friends to give you guys one word that describes what mental health means to them, some giving more than one. Some of you may even find yourself agreeing with it, it means the world to me to try and help spread the message about mental health, it's a challenge billions of people face daily.
