My name is Christen, I am a 23-year-old full-time college student. I am a psychology major who studies substance Abuse Counseling and also have a minor in Crime Adovacies. I use to be such an introvert when it came to talking to new people or being around large crowds. Now I am coming out of my shell and deciding to speak my voice freely without judgment.

I was diagnosed with clinical bipolar depression, It was tough trying to find coping mechanisms to help. My moods would go from super high to severally low. It had me in a dark place for a while until I finally decided to reach out and get help! I surround myself with positive vibes and just try to find ways of distracting myself from being lost in my own head.

Growing up, nothing was ever handed to me. I had always had to work for what I wanted in my life. I moved out of my parent's home as soon as I reached 18 and went out in the world on my own! Got a tiny apartment near my job with my fur baby Vanilla. I go to school full-time and even volunteer at the local hospitals. Lending a helping hand where ever I can!

Ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to help others. Being able to make a difference in someone's life is inspiring to me! My parents have always told me,
"If I want something in life you will not get it sitting around. You have to get up and go get it because life is short and delicate."
"Growth is sometimes uncomfortable, yet I have the strength to do it."
"I must always embrace change, to gain constant self-improvement."
"I am patient with myself and accept that positive change takes time."
